To become a good real estate salesperson is not easy, but to become a real estate broker is even more difficult. This requires real estate brokers to not only have professional skills but also have in-depth specialized knowledge, understand customer psychology as well as respond flexibly to many different situations.

What are the difficulties of becoming a real estate agent?

Difficult to find customers 

The first difficulty of the real estate brokerage profession is finding customers. Real estate brokerage is a profession that requires constant searching and contact with customers to build close relationships, from which they can develop into potential customers. Therefore, those who are new to the profession often encounter more difficulties. 

In particular, the real estate market is considered to be the place with the most fierce competition. Don't think that customers will appear in front of you because in fact, your competitors may have found them first. 

High work pressure 

When deciding to enter the real estate brokerage field, you must understand that this is a job with a lot of pressure, many young people have to give up because they cannot stand the pressure. 

The nature of real estate brokerage work is continuous, so every day you have to accept to make more than 100 phone calls and you will almost never have holidays or weekends. You must know how to make the most of your customers' free time at any time and always be available immediately when customers need to be able to advise and answer questions for customers. 

Besides, the difficulty of the real estate brokerage profession that makes many people afraid is having to regularly take customers to consult about the project, see the house, go to deposit... Especially, there are projects far from home, the customers are foreigners, the real estate broker also needs to take customers to see the reality and "hardly" consult...

Difficulty in selling products 

Not everyone has a beautiful, luxurious apartment with a nice view or any of the perfect factors to help you have “wonderful” products. There will also be bad views, high prices, located in corners,… 

But remember that no apartment is bad, it depends on how you introduce, advise and who your customers are. Remember that choosing the right customer for the product is a factor that helps you solve the problem in a flash. However, you also need to consider your own capacity and experience to choose the right apartment for you.

Facing obstacles due to lack of knowledge and skills 

The biggest difficulty that makes real estate brokers lose customers is the lack of knowledge and skills. In fact, real estate knowledge is not only summarized in 1 or 2 specific items, but it includes a set of knowledge with many different groups and items. For example: knowledge about real estate projects, the segment that the investor is implementing, knowledge about Land Law, knowledge about the real estate market, real estate consulting... 

For example, if you do not have knowledge of Land Law, you will not be able to advise customers on what documents to prepare to complete the project purchase procedure. You will not know whether this project is in the planning area or not... 

And certainly, if you do not provide customers with the knowledge they desire, customers will automatically look for more experienced brokers. Besides knowledge, brokers also need to pay attention to professional skills.

This is also a difficulty when learning real estate brokerage that many people cannot overcome. The skills here are related to communication, customer behavior, customer approach skills, consulting skills, phone skills...

No matter what job it is, learning from the experiences of your predecessors will be invaluable knowledge to help you succeed in your work. Below are some experiences in the real estate brokerage profession shared by successful experts, you can refer to them: 

– Create scarcity of real estate products with customers to quickly promote decision-making behavior from customers. 

– Create hotness for real estate projects through discount and incentive programs. 

– Create competition for the product as waiting for customers to respond, there are customers already consulting. 

– Boldly suggest to customers to make a deposit in advance to keep the apartment beautiful after presenting detailed information related to that project.
