The groundbreaking ceremony of Sun Urban City with a scale of 420 hectares and a total investment of about 35,000 billion VND took place on the morning of August 8 in Phu Ly City (Ha Nam).
The project is located in Bac Chau Giang area (Phu Ly city) - connecting to the South of Hanoi capital, 50 km from Hanoi. Sun Urban City metropolis is developed according to the suburban resort urban model with 1,001 utilities.
Sun Urban City owns a central location connecting the traffic of “road – rail – air” of Ha Nam. By road, the project connects with traffic routes such as National Highway 1A, Phap Van – Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway, belt routes 3.5, 4.
In particular, when Phu Thu intersection on Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway is completed in 2025, connecting with the future Ring Road 5 of the Capital Region, this place will become the connecting point for the route from Hanoi and the Northern provinces.
Regarding railways, the project will benefit from the North-South Expressway, which is expected to start construction in 2027, passing through Phu Ly station. Along with that, the second airport of the capital is expected to be invested in and built in Ung Hoa - Phu Xuyen district (Hanoi), about 25km from Phu Ly, opening the door to connect with the whole country.
The project location is also the convergence of three rivers: Chau Giang, Nhue and Day, bringing feng shui value, and is also the center connecting the heritage of the land of "Doi mountain, Chau river" rich in cultural traditions with nearly 2,000 historical and cultural relics.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province, said that Sun Urban City with a scale of 420 hectares is the largest urban project ever in Ha Nam. When completed and put into operation, it will play a very important role in the development of Ha Nam province.
Mr. Huy added that the project will create a better living environment for the people, changing the local appearance. The urban area also creates a driving force, spreading and contributing to the economic restructuring of the province. In addition, with modern and attractive facilities and services, Sun Urban City is expected to become an attractive tourist destination, contributing to realizing the goal of reaching 10 million tourists by 2030.
Sun Urban City has a construction density of only 18%, green space and water surface up to 200ha with a complex of 5 large parks, creating an ecological, classy living space, close to nature. These are: festival park; cultural park with the highlight of the fireworks display in the middle of the lake, beer factory, event square...; Sun World park with a scale of nearly 20ha including a water park inspired by traditional water puppetry culture and Wonder Land indoor park, sports park. Finally, there is an ecological park with Kid Universal complex - a children's playground paradise.
The Sun Urban City urban area also attracts with its key amenities such as the 150m wide, 1.5km long avenue leading to the fireworks square combined with entertainment activities using modern technology. This will be the venue for major events and festivals in Ha Nam in the future. In particular, the new Ha Nam Provincial Administrative Center with a scale of 27.8 hectares will also be located here.
The investor representative said that this will be a place where the elderly will be cared for with a nursing home, a specialized hospital, and a large space for walking and gathering with friends and children; young people and children will have new entertainment experiences...
Mr. Tran Minh Son, Founding Board Member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group, spoke at the event, affirming that Phu Ly - Ha Nam will rise to become a new center to welcome the wave of investment and open the door to multi-connectivity in the Northern region. In which, the Urban Era - Sun Urban City Ha Nam will act as a lever to help the local economy and tourism take off.
Along with the groundbreaking of the Sun Urban City project, from now until the end of the year, Sun Group will coordinate with Ha Nam province to organize a series of events of the Ha Nam and Red River Delta Cultural Festival, with many attractive activities such as fireworks displays, grand music festivals, traditional art performances, photo exhibitions, food festivals, etc.
This will be a series of major highlight events held in Ha Nam, aiming to honor the quintessence of Northern culture, connecting famous tangible and intangible cultural heritages in the locality, contributing to turning the land of "Doi mountain and Chau river" into an attractive tourist destination.
